all the shots are through one panning shots and are made from one point and one angle this is what makes up the movie the panning shot is very vivid it has many sounds and many visual examples from a brick wall to a house in which a lady is inside this is very important because he doesn't have a lot to work with with just one panning shot but manages to do this this makes Hitchcock very intuitive and very creative.

Sounds
The film has a lot of noises such as a train in the background a lot of orchestra and they also use a lot of day to day use of activity noises such as kids playing in the background bells from a bicycle and even they played a alarm clock at the beginning to show that it is early in the morning. the use of car sounds help to tell that they are probably in a city environment and it is real busy where they are and to show that a lot is happening in the area.

use of montage

How does the use of montage illustrate the intention of directors and what is its effect on the audience?

The Effects of a montage can give the audience the feel that a long period of work or certain time has passed in a short amount of clips which can be 30 seconds to a couple minutes depending on the films original length.the purpose is to show work or sequences of events that lead up to the main plot in a shorter time so it does not bore the viewer. a great example is the Movie rocky and the training scenes done in the film
