PD3 CV Film Class 2019: Isaac Montney Inspiration Investigation Post

I specifically for my film will be working on a sci-fi type film. The idea for the film is that all the ideas that everyone has throughout their days all combine and culminate into this one world of imagination and thoughts. The world will contain a variety of ideas that some make sense, some do not. In this world nothing quite makes sense but that is the beauty of it. It is simply everyone's mind made into a universe. I am taking inspiration from the game development company MM (Media Molecule). This Company created a game franchise called “Little Big Planet” from 2008-2014. This game stood out to me as unique and unlike anything I had truly seen before. The game took many many different genres, moods, and styles and combined them into one game. I remember feeling an astronomical amount of different emotions as I played this game as a child. This game is something I remember to this day, not only because it was a fun game but because of what it made me feel. I felt frightened at times, I felt unexplainably joyful at times, I felt sad at times. The whole storyline of the game was to create your own world with your ideas. This created a whole truck load of different themes all being unpacked at different times throughout the life of the game. It created an overall mindset of confusion yet wonder that I fell in love with. This is the effect I want to create when I create my Sci-Fi film. It will be very unrealistic yet realistic at the same time. I want to connect everyone together with the same film and make everyone feel as though they have a spot in it. I will take inspiration from the game through its use of brightened colors, images, amazing soundtrack, and plot along with the twists we see in it.
